    Our crop of butterbeans and peas will start in June, and be available through October. We will have Pink Eye, Black Eye, Cream, and Zipper Peas. We will have Butterbeans available as well.

    The pictures on this page shows you about our butterbean and pea operations at Calhoun Produce Farm Market. The beans and peas are picked with the large combine you see in the pictures.

    Once picked and stored in our warehouse, they are run through our shelling plant, where after shelling the beans and peas are run down the inspection belt where our ladies inspect the quality and make sure there are no bad bean or pea or trash gets in with our product. They are bagged as they leave the inspection belt to be placed in cold storage once shelled.
